2 weeks until The 100 Day Project starts...
here's what's up next
Hello, friends—
We’re just two weeks out from the project start date on February 22. EEK! I’m excited, are you excited?
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been setting the stage together—starting with brainstorming project ideas, then narrowing toward something that fits your capacity and interests. A lot of this comes down to creative season: where are you in your life and creativity now?
Here’s what’s up next…
THIS WEEK:
Tuesday at 2pm Pacific:
I’ll be going live with Melissa Lakey, an artist and illustrator based in Joshua Tree. We’ll talk about how she found her way back into making art and what helped her keep going. We’ll also dig into community, documenting and sharing your work, and the not-always-fun middle stretch of a long project—and what it can teach you if you stay with it. Drop your questions for Melissa in the comments!
Wednesday at 12pm Pacific:
I’m hosting a live workshop on how to design your project. This is for anyone who’s interested in the project but unsure what to work on—or how to make it sustainable. We’ll look at how to shape a project that fits your life, energy, and intentions right now; what actually makes a project successful; and how to build a creative habit you can return to, even on busy or uninspired days. It’s interactive, with time to reflect, ask questions, and connect with others. It’s sliding scale and a recording will be available if you can’t join live.
More soon, including another interview later this week. If your project still feels fuzzy, try spending a little time this week bringing it to focus. That might mean reflecting on how your ideas feel, taking them for a test run, or something else. Our recent interviews with Elle, Emily McDowell, and Annie Wong are also full of tried-and-true project wisdom and inspiration.
XO,
Lindsay
