I really needed to hear that today. I struggle between messy and neat. But giving me permission, opens up my wild side. I taught grade one and loved letting the kids explore media.
I'm a double Virgo (rising and moon) and messy spaces can sometimes make my skin crawl - but I NEED that in order to be able to really make a lot of art and play/experiment. I struggle with the balance of the two as I have a kitchen nook as my creating space rather than the big separate studio I used to have. I dream of one day having a warehouse space where I can THROW PAINT EVERYWHERE
I am a Virgo too and I would LOVE to have a space where I can throw paint everywhere too! Putting it out into the universe for us :) PS: I agree about the order/neat space!
Yes and amen! I know how important it is to get messy with the creative process, and also, I really love being neat and organized :P Sometimes a good studio clean is actually what gets me into making something again
Last night, tidying my work station got put on the 'to do' list - maybe I'll leave it a while 😅

I love finger paint, paper maché, clay.
Order is good but messy is fun. And we all need fun in our lives!!

That studio is really stressing me out haha. But I can totally imagine how fast an art studio starts looking like that.
I studied Francis Bacon's works at uni and boy does this image of his studio make a lot of sense.
