Hi, Artists!
I’m Trish. Life Coach, writer, mama and unofficial 100 Day Project cheerleader (*high kick!*).
We are really happy to be showcasing the community's work on @dothe100dayproject Instagram Reels again this year. 2023's submissions helped us see in even greater detail just how many talented folks we have participating in the fun!
Submissions will be screened for outlined criteria (size, image quality, etc) then chosen at random by number generator. A few quick reminders:
We are accepting 9x16 high quality photos.
We are accepting 5-10 second video clips of your creation process (if longer, note they will be edited to a higher playback speed).
We are also accepting photos of you with your art: We would love to see the makers behind the projects.
Submissions for the first reel are open through 2/26.
NOTE: Google forms only allows us to collect files from Gmail email addresses. You can create an account for free here.
As a brief aside…
Each year I pick a word to use as a guide for myself and my core intention of living well. This year, the word I chose is Wonder.
Wonder: like finding bits of sea glass on a quiet beach stroll, watching the tiny, quick footed sandpipers scuttling along the shoreline, making the most delicate footprints in the sand until the next wave bubbles at their tiny toes.
Wonder: like how my five year old will exclaim “mom, quick quick, beauty emergency!!” when she spots our neighborhood fox doing his morning stretches along the woods line, or an intricate spider web on our porch railings, glimmering from dewdrops and sunlight.
Wonder: at the artistry of music and all of the feelings or memories it draws out when I listen to old favorites, how my body moves in rhythm without much conscious thought.
Wonder: at the weight of my children’s freshly bathed, tiny bodies pressed against each side of me as we read books before bed, wrapped in a hand knit blanket made by a cherished friend.
And wonder: at each entry and tag that comes across my screen through this project ~ at the spectrum of creativity and creative expression that exists in our global community. You are putting beauty out into the world, and the world will be better for it. (*high kick!*)
In Gratitude,
Trish
Hi Trish. I’m using music to prompt me each day, playing the piano using my mom’s old sheet music. The memories evoked by the songs does indeed give me moments to wonder!
Yay! Thank you, Trish! 💓
