Hi friends โ
It is always such a delight to hear from the community about what #The100DayProject has meant for them and their creative practices. Here are just a few recent testimonials for inspiration if youโre thinking about joining us this year (we start in just over a week on February 23!).
โHonestly, participating in this challenge was life changing. It transformed the way I see both my creativity identity and creative expression. #The100DayProject ignited a spark of playfulness and curiosity in my creative process, and that same spark now shapes how I nurture and encourage my children's creativity.โ โ Stephanie
โI've done the project twice and it was highly motivating to be in a group where everyone supported each other to get to the finish line. My art progressed loads and best of all I met some lovely people online who've become firm friends.โ โ A
โI gained confidence in my identity as an artist.โ โ J
โI learned so much each time I participated in the 100 day project. I learned about the rewards and challenges of simply showing up each and every day whether I felt like it or not. I began to believe that my work as a creative is so much more that the product! There is much wisdom and magic that happens in the creative process and in life while committed to the project. I learned the valuable lessons of knowing how to create flow states for myself instead of waiting for them to happen occasionally! This has been a game changer that I believe never would have happened if I didn't do the project. Most of all I learned about myself as a creative, when's the best time of day for me to create, what season my energy feels most potent and what truly interests and inspires me! Itโs a journey I look forward to taking again and again!โ โ Maureen
โI honestly didnโt think I could do it, but I surprised myself by completing all 100 days! I tried projects that had been on my to-do list for years, and was able to narrow down my interests to what I am really drawn to and what I enjoy the most. I canโt wait for the 2025 100 Day Project!โ โ Laurie
โFor me the 100 day project gave me a creative momentum I haven't had before, and I learned a lot about myself and what it meant to commit to something every day. By allowing grace in my process, my project evolved into many different avenues of creativity that now have tangible places in my home, and for my family.โ โ Sarah
โDuring the pandemic, the 100 day project dropped me into a painting practice that continues 4 years later. Meditative, enriching, delicious. Thank you.โ โ e.
โI chose writing for my 100 day project, two years in a row. While I never hit the 100 days, getting all the writing out of my head made me feel lighter and more relaxed. I had obviously been carrying it around for a long time! I like to have a structured project with a beginning and an end and this is perfect!โ โ Rayna
โFor a few years now, I have participated in the 100 day challenge and it has been a life-changing experience for me. I stumbled upon it during Covid and unbeknownst to me took on quite a challenge of creating a 9 x 12โ collage daily for the full hundred days. It not only inspired me to experiment, using materials and designs that I had never thought of before, but it challenged me to dig deeper and learn more about myself as an artist and a human. I have since taken behind smaller canvases, and all that Iโve created , Finally looking back at the memories theyโve bestowed.โ โ Anonymous
โI love committing to this practice as itโs given me time and space to experiment.โ โ Anjelika
โA chance to commit, a reason to create โ working toward a daily goal makes my heart sing. 100 days provides a structure, a framework, a safe place to work from. Practice makes me a better writer.โ โ Fran
What might YOU say after committing to 100 days?
Iโll be back next week with tips from the community on getting started โ if you have something to share, please add it here! Your experience and words of wisdom might just motivate and encourage new people to do the project (what a gift!).
One more thing โ would love for you to join us next Friday for a workshop on how to document and share your project.
XO,
Lindsay
P.S. You can see recent posts here for tips on how to choose your project ๐
Thanks for sharing my testimonial! Iโm excited and looking forward to this yearโs challenge!
