So excited for this - and to actually share it this year too! Last year (which appears only in a small Moleskine notebook) I wrote 100 poems in a small volume called Before the Milk Goes Sour, about homesteading, clabber and the essence of time. This year my daughter and I are teaming up to create Nods to Nature, another small collection of gratitudinous poems to insects, flowers, small animals and other elements of nature by me, along with drawings made by her.

This will be my first time doing it and I'm super excited...it's perfect timing to hold myself accountable for something I'm actually doing anyway but in a fun way...

My Field Notes newsletter already function on the same principles to document my bigger process of building my website but isn't time bound...the 100 day project will zoom in on a very specific part of it ..the creation of the videos for each of the sections of my website...as it will include stop motion animation and I have to create all the elements for that in the different styles for each of the sections...and then put it all together..gonna be fun 😁

I just stumbled upon this one day before it starts. All things happen for a reason. I am a mixed media/watercolorc artist struggling to get out of a "creative block". Lots of changes going on. I will be starting with this with you all tomorrow with doing a piece of 2X3 art on watercolor paper. Some days maybe simple, others more detailed. I'm excited for the commitment and hoping these small creative 2X3's will be just what I need to open my creative flow again.

My two new sketchbooks arrived, I’ll be expanding on my mixed media nature collage exploration. My last few pieces were a bit busy. My goal is to play and let things develop in a more open, less laborious way. Let the fun begin!

I’m excited to get back to what gives me peace. I’ve added to my calendar to get in my art room to create or even just get my neglected art space organized and ready for me again. This makes my heart happy! Good luck all! Have fun creating!! Sheila Swanson

The last time I did the project was about a decade ago so I’m excited to do it again!

I'm excited to participate for the first time this year! I'm keeping things super low-key. My goal is simply to spend at least 15 minutes per day creating something in my sketchbook. I'm hoping this will help me reclaim my illustrated journaling habit and stick with it long term.

I think this is my fourth time participating.

1: poems (shared on Instagram)

2: poems (Instagram)

3: daily photo and poem to match (Instagram)

4: visual art in many forms (sketchbook, Instagram and wrote about the process at the end here on Substack)

This year? Starting a new sketch book!

Thank you for the inspiration & for encouraging us to add a bit of joy in these difficult times❤️

I can’t wait to get started again! My materials are all within easy reach and I have a folder full of reference images ready on my phone, and a quiet day tomorrow so I can really get stuck in for the first day 🥰

This’ll be my first year taking part.

I’ve decided to do a haiku every day

I just discovered this project and it was serendipitous.

There's a book that keeps haunting me. I've been told so many times it's not worthy it that at this point it's becoming an act of defiance, mostly against my own fears. I think it will be my project. ♥️

This thread just popped up from the website as I selected fine art yesterday as a topic. This sounds like just what’s needed to start to develop my discipline in doing something every day. Think I’ll do a tiny drawing with watercolor, which helps me develop ideas for future projects and sculpture and painting.

I’m going to be taking and editing pictures of things that make me smile every day. I’ve set my alarm for 1pm every day to take a picture. It will be simple photos on my phone and just editing on it too. We shall see if it grows more complicated as the 100 days go on. I’m pretty excited! My friend shared this to me just an a couple hours ago!
