This year will be my third 100Dayproject. My first year I got bored with my idea and didn't get past day ten (I think), last year I finished. But I don't just draw or paint - I also write books. During the 100days last year I finished a book - it was published and also worked on another novel. This year the plan is to finish my tenth novel, and then finish the novel I started last year - and of course draw and paint a few things in between. LOL! When I don't limit myself to only one creative project, I do so much more and the 100dayproject is perfect to keep me motivated and inspired. Wishing all the best to other creatives taking part - this challenge is one of the best on the calendar!
Thanks Lindsay, I think I'm getting nearer to committing, I feel fearful which is interesting in itself. I think I'm going to keep it super super simple and not be strict and perfectionist about it.
I'll be focusing on 100 days of gratitude for the Earth, tiny poem-prayers to the sun, the moon, insects, animals, flowers, weeds, water and anything else in nature that inspires me along the way.
I am the queen of indecision and have yet to finish a 100 day project, even though I start one every year. I get overwhelmed with the idea of committing to something for 100 days OR bored with what i've chosen OR just overdone with indecision. I do appreciate the advice NOT to pick something you want to get better at. Off to overthink some more!
You know what, I love that you keep trying Jenn! That’s the main thing. It’ll feel great when the right project really clicks. Excited to see what you do!
I'm thinking collage/mixed media making pieces that I can then use in my junk journals. I bought this amazing little mixed media tear off pad that will be perfect.
I made a 100 Day Project attempt last year, but the conditions weren't quite right. This year I am feeling the buzz again, and the desire join a community of makers. It feels like a hopeful and nourishing act to create something simply for the delight in making and creating. I am leaning toward making 100 small paintings and using Posca markers because they are lighting me up right now. I have a vision for covering an area of my wall with bright little windows of color - a grid of paintings. I created a Patchwrk board for the project and plan to add my paintings here as I go https://patchwrk.app/u/bridgid/boards/507 Thank you for hosting this event!
I hadn’t heard of Patchwrk yet, thanks for sharing! I also picked up some Posca markers recently, so fun to draw/paint with. I can feel the delight and energy, Bridgid!
I'm new to Posca markers, and am really enjoying them. They feel much easier to pick up and draw with versus getting my paints out - perfect for those little pockets of time. I'm hoping that will help make it easier to create regularly.
I always wanted to start a book that can be a children's story book, but also can be read by adults of any age. And to be honest i would love to draw cartoonish doodles and drawings myself for each chapter. That's my goal for 100 days. I hope I remain consistent.
I'm taking a different approach, a weekly prompt and making as little or as much that connects to it for me in watercolor. The challenge is just the showing up for me, and if I can do that consistently I'll win :)
I will be focusing on 100 days of Improv/collage quilting. I have a jump off point of wanting to create a wallhanging that features a cat couple. Who knows where I'll go from there.
@bonnieglassnerart
Looking forward to the next round

Congrats Linzé! 👏💓
So excited for this 100 Day Project, Lindsay!!! I think I am going to draw 100 plants, a few real ones but mostly fantasy. I can't wait to begin.
🙌

I haven't quite decided yet but what excites me is watercolour and birds. So maybe 100 watercolour birds? 😁
Sounds lovely!

I have just subscribed and now am trying to decide what to do!
We’ll keep thinking through it together! Welcome, Rev. Clare!
