Hello, and happy Day 10 of #The100DayProject!
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know I love tarot. One of my favorite decks is by Kim Krans, The Wild Unknown.
This is a post Kim shared recently about going back to a past creative love that really stuck with me. She writes,
“Turns out dreams want to live. That is their only desire.”
Gosh, that’s good. Dreams just want to live. They just want your energy, they don’t need to be famous or get a lot of followers on Instagram or sell a million copies.
What dreams of yours are asking to come to life?
I absolutely love tarot! My favorite deck is called the “forest of enchantment” by Lunaea Weatherstone and Meraylah Allwood. The artwork and messages have been a huge inspiration to the fairytale short story collection I’m currently working on. It’s also put me back in touch with a long abandoned childhood dream (illustrating a kid’s book), which I’m hoping to make a reality this year!
When it comes right down to it, I don't want to be an overnight sensation bestselling author-- although, having written since I was a little kid and even submitted work to Little Golden Books (they sent me back a very nice letter suggesting I get back to them after I finished school) -- something like that used to be my dream. Now I just want my work to be out there in the world, in some form or other, so I can share my life with others. Which is kinda already happening with this project, regardless of whether I finish the chapbook, let alone publish it.
