First, thanks so much to our guest writer
for taking the lead last week. When Carolyn first suggested the theme of rewards, I felt that full-body YES feeling! A lot of us treat discipline like a punishment instead of a practice. I’m not saying it will always be fun or pretty, but creating can be joyful. Creating can be whatever you want it to be. And rather than flog ourselves for the days we missed or the pieces we don’t love, we can choose to be good to ourselves. And being good to ourselves is probably more conducive to building a healthy relationship with our creativity than beating ourselves up.But I don’t make the rules, you do! Everything we share here is just something to think about as you make your own way.

The thing that makes you you.
Here are some things to think about and/or do:
What made you feel different as a kid? (Or even now as an adult)?
What lights you up? What do you lose track of time doing? When do you feel most present?
Ask your parents/siblings/best friends what they love about you.
What do you know to be true?
What’s your most controversial opinion about the kind of creative practice you do? Or more generally?
What makes you mad? What do you want to change in the world?
How do you hope people feel after interacting with you or your art?
What are the parts of you that feel core to your sense of self?

I wanted people to always be kind, I wanted to always be kind. I couldn't understand why others couldn't or wouldn't do the same. That and at an early age I understood good customer service.
When I get to share the truth of the Bible with someone. I understand when someone is disinterested and I believe that is their right, but when someone will listen I am so happy!
Painting is when I get lost.
I rarely feel truly present
It's too early to ask. My best friend would probably say I am giving and always trying.
God will restore his paradise to earth and billions will have the opportunity to live in perfection in a perfect earth with no problems like we have now.
I don't know if this would be called controversial, but among art students it seems to be annoying, anyone can be an artist and there are a lot of types of art, all we have to do is have a desire and try.
When people are unkind.
Share Jehovah and Jesus' truths so others can find the peace and love that I have.

Sadly my emotional health issues. I know they are not who I am, but they have been there so long, I don't think I would feel like me with them gone. Of course, that isn't necessarily a bad thing (ha). Also my love, I love my friends and family immensely, and I love my God and his son beyond that. My desire to do what is right, to stick to the truth of the Bible.
