I was very good in time and made more progress than I thought. But four weeks ago I got a bad head cold and it does not stop. I barely can do my regular workβ¦π
Wild Card was perfect for me today. I'm flying away and my whole practice will change for the next two weeks because I can't take tools and materials with me. I have forgiven myself for missing yesterday (and probably today). I'm switching my practice to photography and will challenge myself to not just point and shoot, but embrace the creativity.
I have found the 100-Day challenge to be inspiring. I have, in fact, made art every day. It is a great practice and when looking back I see real improvement and things that I really loved when, well, looking back.
This year my intention has just been to create for fun - an escape for my mental wellbeing in a world on fire. And everyday I've given myself the time to create - and it's been a gift even when I've struggled for inspiration. I've allowed myself to try new things without concern for the outcome. And in the process ended up in a gelli plate class at the local museum - a new favorite thing. I can't wait to keep exploring that for some of the next 50 days (and beyond.)
Everyday, since starting the 100day project, I have photographed the Japanese Maple outside my home office window. I find I look forward to it every day. I also find that having structure and focus helps me otherwise the day goes by and I haven't made time for anything creative. It also gives me permission to do something just for myself.

So sorry Daniela, take care of yourself!

I'm a little behind, having started late, but hey no rules, right?!
Right!

I love it!
My second year for the 100 Day Project and I continue to enjoy it. This year sketching every day gets me lots of practice.

Thatβs lovely, Debra!
