I will do my first 100day project this year. I always have more ideas than action, so my focus will be to do something creative every day, to try , to explore and feel what gives me energy and joy. My goal is to have a better idea what is my thing by the end of the 100 days.

I have a question? I want to start painting large paintings again. Can the 100 Day Project be committing to paint for x amount of time per day for 100 days? Or does it have to be something that is small and can be finished in one session for 100 days? Thank you!

I love this project because it gives you so many liberties to chop it up the way you need it to. You can choose to work 15 minutes a day on a large piece. Totally your call! I am excited to see what you decide.

Thank you so much Angie for your uplifting comment! I committed to painting 30 minutes a day and started yesterday. So grateful for this challenge which allows us to reconnect to our creativity.

This is my second 100 day project this year. Last year I decided to commit to anything art for 15 mins a day. I did it. Surprise ! Surprise ! I have just bought four 8x8 watercolor books. Each will be designated a different medium. Watercolor botanical , collage , acrylic abstract, pen and ink / markers. Once again 15 mins a day minimum.

Goal is to have fun and have some creative challenges and adventures.

BTW. I got really nice WC books at the Five and Under dollar store. Pressure free. to play and experiment. 😊

I just tried to make a post post but was blocked and told I had to pay for the newsletter. I subscribed last year and now I am told I have to subscribe again again and pay for it--again. I thought the program was free? But anyway I subscribed last year...??

Progress! My post re subscription was accepted... I'm working up my nerve to do it for the first time. My problem is that I have too many ideas. I believe I can get around this by using ALL of them, one at a time, embroidering around the theme of "Finding my Focus." I'm now making a list of various ideas to draw from and my only rule is that I will do something every day and keep track in a notebook and with photos. However I have a question: how do I post if/when I want to post? I do not want to post daily on my IG feed as I think it would make for a clutter. Is there something like a Facebook group dedicated to the project?

Hey! You don’t have to pay to participate. You should be able to comment on public posts, but it’s possible I forgot to click that button before hitting publish.

You can post on IG at whatever cadence you’d like — a weekly post, for example. You can share as Stories instead and save as a highlight, that’s a good option too.

There is a FB group! Linked to it in the last post: https://the100dayproject.substack.com/p/the100dayproject-starts-in-5-days

I am definitely going to do the 109 day project. This year I want to explore new materials, techniques, mediums and tools, so I will try out one each day and may try the same several days on multi-media paper to make in to a self-made art journal.

Make that the 100 day project. I’m so enthusiastic about this project that I got a not overly ambitious.

LOL, I was excited to see what happens in the extra 9 days...

Your project sounds great! Our materials are so much more useful if we know whether we like how they work. I think I will be testing fountain pen inks, for the same reason - some I will love, some I can maybe pass along to friends. Getting to know them will suggest ideas for further projects.

100 days feels like a big commitment when you're standing at the threshold of Day One.

I'm using the Project to explore my painting style again after nearly 15 years away from the canvas. Plus I am going to create a colour palette for my design business and membership every day.

There! I have said it and put it out into the world - now to make it happen.
